Mattress Sizes and Bed Frame Compatibility
US mattress sizes are standardized, so this is a check GAOMON's own published frame dimensions can actually be run against - four of five frames clear a standard mattress of their stated size comfortably or tightly; one misses by a tenth of an inch.
Why beds get a real check and most of this range doesn't
A standard Twin, Queen or King mattress is a fixed, publicly known size (Twin 38×75 in, Queen 60×80 in, King 76×80 in - the industry-standard US convention, not a GAOMON figure). Every GAOMON bed frame publishes its own length and width through the Creators API. That's two known numbers to check against each other - a rare situation in this catalogue, where most products only publish one side of any comparison.
The full table
All five frames, their published footprint, and the margin against a standard mattress of their own stated size, are on the sizing page. Two results are worth calling out here directly.
The King frame fits with nothing to spare
The King frame's own published width is exactly 76 in - precisely a standard King mattress's width, 0.0 in of margin. Its length clears by 0.9 in. Both are shown as "Fits, tight," not "Fits" - a mattress overhang, a bent corner or a manufacturing tolerance of even a fraction of an inch could make the fit noticeably snugger than the headline "King frame, King mattress" pairing suggests.
The 6 in low-profile Queen frame misses by 0.1 in
Its own published length, 79.9 in, is 0.1 in short of a standard Queen mattress's 80 in length. That is well inside normal manufacturing and measurement tolerance - mattresses commonly overhang a platform frame's rail slightly on purpose - but it's shown as published rather than rounded up to "fits."
What "height" does and doesn't tell you
Every frame publishes one height figure. On the one frame with no headboard (the 6 in low-profile Queen), that figure is exactly the frame's own height - proof, on the other four frames, that their published height includes the headboard, since none of the four publish a frame-only figure separately. None of the five states a headboard height on its own.
What isn't published at all
Clearance under the bed is stated on only two of the five listings (the Twin with storage drawers, at 10.6 in; the Queen with the LED rattan headboard, at 8 in) - not published on the other three. The mattress thickness a headboard fits is stated on two listings (the King, at 8.3–12.2 in; the plain Twin, at 8–14 in) and not on the other three.
Questions
Does a GAOMON King frame actually fit a standard King mattress?
Yes, but with 0.0 in of margin on width and 0.9 in on length, per the manufacturer's own published frame dimensions against a standard King mattress. Shown as "Fits, tight" rather than a flat "Fits."
Does every GAOMON bed frame fit its stated mattress size?
Four of five do, comfortably or tightly. One - the 6 in low-profile Queen frame - is 0.1 in short of a standard Queen mattress's length by its own published figure, within normal tolerance but shown as published rather than rounded away.
Do GAOMON bed frames publish a headboard height?
No - none of the five states headboard height as its own figure. The single published height figure includes the headboard on the four frames that have one.
